This guide covers how to install the Podcast LeadFlow integration with Kit, what data is synced, and how to troubleshoot common issues.
What the integration does
When connected, Podcast LeadFlow can automatically add new leads captured through your episode landing pages as subscribers in your Kit account. You can assign existing Kit tags to each lead form so that new subscribers are tagged and routed into the right Kit automations.
This integration only affects new lead submissions going forward. It does not backfill leads captured before the connection was made.
How to Setup the connection
- Login to your Kit account
- In a new tab, Login to your Podcast LeadFlow account at saas.podcastleadflow.com
- From the dashboard, to go Settings and scroll down to CRM integration
- Select Kit from the dropdown and click on Connect to Kit
- A page will appear with a button for you to access the connection. When you accept you’ll be automatically redirected to Podcast LeadFlow
- Click on the button Save Settings in the bottom right corner
Note: The Kit integration requires a Podcast LeadFlow plan that includes CRM access (Starter plan or above).
How to set up a lead form with Kit
Once the integration is connected, you still need to enable it on each episode’s lead form.
- In Podcast LeadFlow, open the episode you want to capture leads from.
- Click on the form and scroll on the left to get to the CRM section. enable Add lead to CRM.
- Select Kit as your CRM.
- Optionally, choose one or more existing Kit tags to apply to new subscribers from this form.
- Save and publish the landing page.
That’s it. When a listener fills out the form, their information is sent to Kit automatically.
What data is synced to Kit
When a new lead submits a form, Podcast LeadFlow sends the following to your Kit account:
– Email address (required)
– First name (when provided by the lead)
– Tags (any existing Kit tags you selected in the form settings)
If a subscriber with that email already exists in Kit, the selected tags are applied to the existing subscriber.
What is not currently synced: Form question answers, episode metadata, and custom fields are not sent to Kit at this time. Lead details including form responses are available inside your Podcast LeadFlow dashboard.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q: I integrated Kit but no leads are appearing in Kit
– Make sure you have enabled Add lead to CRM on the specific episode’s lead form settings and selected Kit as the CRM.
– The integration only captures new submissions. Leads submitted before the connection was set up are not synced retroactively.
– Check that your landing page is published and that you are promoting the URL in your episode.
Q: My Kit tags are not showing up in Podcast LeadFlow
– Podcast LeadFlow fetches your existing Kit tags when you open the form settings. If you just created a new tag in Kit, try refreshing the page in Podcast LeadFlow.
– Only existing Kit tags can be selected. Podcast LeadFlow does not create new tags in Kit.
